What a whirlwind day! Mom and Dad had asked their friend Andy to take us to a few places during our "free" day today. He met us at the hotel and helped us navigate the subway.
After an authentic "hot pot" lunch (which cooked right on our table!) we did some shopping, toured the Temple of Heaven, and had a tea ceremony. While I don't have a nuanced palate, I can certainly appreciate the Chinese tea and tell the difference between it and our typical tea bags. Wonderful!
Between jet lag and a busy day, we are ready to sleep. Tomorrow the Great Wall, and we get to meet some of the other adoptive families!
